Construction Update

Redland Bay Village’s $25 million redevelopment remains on track for April opening.

Redland Bay Village remains on track to open the doors of its $25 million redevelopment in April 2022, with construction and new tenancy enquiries both moving at an impressive speed.

Greg Bell of the Fox and Bell Group who are developing the centre said “The new additions complete the vision for Redland Bay Village.  Shopping Centres have evolved from being merely a place to shop to being a more traditional town centre with a sense of local identity.”

“After such an uncertain period, shoppers are looking for renewed social interactions and experience.”  Mr Bell said.

Director, Bronwyn Seeto, from All Commercial Properties Qld who are marketing the Centre said, “new Centres such as Redland Bay Village have reduced dependence on such items as fashion accessories and the online items, and increased alternative offerings such as commercial, food, wellness, entertainment and lifestyle components.

Ms Seeto added the “state-of-the-art”, full-line Woolworths will include a six-vehicle drive-through where customers can “seamlessly collect pre-ordered goods without entering the store.”

The redeveloped Centre will also feature electric vehicle charging stations and a wider array of shops and services including expanded pharmacy and medical, new gym, BWS bottle shop, Cafes and dining offerings.

Located in the heart of the enviable and laid-back Bayside area, the refurbished Redland Bay Village will offer an additional 950sqm of gross lettable area (GLA), expanding the centre to 4,295sqm; offering the rare opportunity for new tenants to join the centre.  The completed Centre will create an additional 200 permanent jobs.

Managing the marketing for the centre, Strictlymarketing’s Selena Beevers, said Redland Bay Village has also undergone a brand refresh with a modern and progressive feel to it as well as a new website – redlandbayshoppingvillage.com.au – which will be central to fostering consumer and community engagement.

Ms Seeto said there had been a strong level of interest from new tenants enquiring about establishing themselves in the centre, while many existing tenants were also enquiring about re-signing and extending their leases.
