New look Redland Bay Village!
With construction underway since February, we are so excited for the new full-line Woolworths taking form at Redland Bay Shopping Village! It will include an electric vehicle charging station, medical, personal services, cafes and more with great potential to transform the district. A major benefit of the construction is that Redland Bay residents will no longer need to travel far for their shopping needs, which is sure to benefit local economic growth. With an investment of $25 million from the centre owners, the centre is expected to double in size in order to capitalise on the region’s momentum.
“Despite extended rain delays and the lockdowns, construction is currently on program.” Subject to this, “the full centre is planned to be operational before the second quarter of 2022.”
– Gary Hargrave, Director of Fox and Bell Group
According to the centre manager Bronwyn Seeto of All Commercial Properties Qld, the “state-of-the-art” full line Woolworths will include a six-vehicle drive-through enabling customers to “seamlessly collect pre-ordered goods without entering the store.”
There are so many new and exciting developments that should prove transformative for Redland Bay with “[the] investment at Redland Bay [reflecting] the bright future of southern Redlands” (Hargrave, 2021).
